A Story Rooted in Time
1. The Early Years of Garsou-Angenot
In 1874, Joseph Garsou founded a transport company in Verviers, then one of the largest wool cities in the world. The first goods were bales of wool, transported using horse-drawn carts, which limited our range of action.
This constraint, however, encouraged us to innovate and seek more efficient solutions. Over the decades, we have integrated new technologies and expanded our range of services, allowing us to meet increasingly diverse transport requests. Our commitment to excellence remains at the heart of our mission, ensuring speed and precision in all our services.
2. Evolutions Over the Decades
- 1914 : Purchase of the first trucks, thereby expanding our range of action.
- 1928 : Launch into international transport with the opening of offices in France.
- 1968 : Opening of a branch in Eynatten, at the German border.
- 2003 : Creation of the Air Freight service at Brussels Airport.
- 2013 : Relocation to Z.I. des Plénesses and development of logistics activities.
- 2015 : Membership in the Astre group, strengthening our network.
- 2018 : Expansion of logistics facilities with an additional 5,500 m² to meet growing demand.
- 2023 : Ongoing expansion with new warehouses, reaching a total capacity of 25,000

“Start a business, and if it is profitable within a year, you can marry her.”
Thus, he founded the transport company in 1874. A year later, having proven the success of his business, he was able to marry the love of his life.
